Our Elders

  • Don Ferguson

    Don Ferguson and his wife Jennifer have been married for going on nineteen years now. They are very active in their family life, raising Marie, Megan and Matthew (shown) to love and follow Jesus Christ. Don is one of the founding elders at Real Life and owns Ferguson Contracting, Inc.

  • Larry Curry

    Larry has been an elder for four and half years. He and his wife Margie have four children , twelve grandchildren and two great grandchildren. His hobbies include golf, hunting, fishing and all of the outdoors.

  • Gene Jacobs

    Gene has served as the Lead Pastor and an elder at RLMSV since our church was planted in 2007. Gene grew up in Western Washington, served in the US Navy and attended Boise Bible College. He married his bride Christy in 1991 and they have two grown children, Brandon and Elizabeth. Gene is passionate about people enjoying a personal relationship with Jesus and believes every person; family and relationship can be restored by God’s grace. Gene spends his free time with his family, playing guitar and exploring the trails of North Idaho by foot or bicycle


  • Brad Kitchen

    Brad and Rhonda have been married four years and serve as members of the media team. Brad has been a member of RLMSV for several years. When Rhonda married Brad, she became a member and has served in various capacities in the church. They both enjoy serving in outreach programs such as monthly movie nights. Brad trained with the elder team for over a year and became an elder in 2015.

  • John Wohlman

    John and Dana moved to the Silver Valley with their 4 daughters in 1997. They are currently serving together as Co-Leaders of a CARE group, and as care group coaches. Dana is also serving in Kids Ministry. John has been an elder since 2015.

  • John Cook

    John Cook has been a member of RLMSV since 2013. He is the owner/veterinarian at Kellogg Pet Medical Center. He chose RLMSV as his church home because of the welcoming atmosphere and focus on the redemptive power of Jesus Christ in everyone's life. He and his wife Charity have three children; Maggie (8), Emma (6), and Ben (6). They love exploring North Idaho in all seasons, but he especially loves hitting the trails on his mountain bike.
